Notifications that say what broke
Native notifications name the incident and the affected components, and link straight to the provider’s write-up. Turn off “all clear” alerts if you only want to hear about trouble.
Alerts on iPhone, even in the background
iOS can’t check status pages while an app is asleep, so our push service does it and sends you a notification the moment something changes.

Sold through the App Store. The one-time purchase unlocks Pro on your device and keeps push alerts for up to 3 services; a subscription covers push for all of them. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple account settings.
Pro on Mac is coming with the Mac App Store release. Until then the Mac download is the free tier, and an iPhone purchase doesn’t unlock it. Windows is free, with nothing to buy.

What upuppy is not
It reports what a provider publishes on its status page. It doesn’t test the service itself. If a status page is slow to update, or says everything is fine during an outage, upuppy will faithfully tell you everything is fine.
That makes it a convenience, not an uptime guarantee. Don’t rely on it where a missed or late alert could cause harm.

How do I get help?
Email upuppy@twilightcoders.net. On Mac, the Report an Issue button in Settings fills in the diagnostics for you.
A service I use isn’t in the list.
If its status page is hosted on Atlassian Statuspage (most are), add it by pasting
its address, for example https://status.example.com. upuppy finds the
feed on its own. If that doesn’t work, email us the address and we’ll take a look.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Apple sells upuppy Pro, so subscriptions and refunds are handled by Apple. Cancel in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I bought Pro on a new phone and it isn’t unlocked.
In upuppy’s Settings, tap Upgrade to Pro, then Restore Purchases.
How do I delete my data?
Turn off notifications in the iPhone app and its push registration is deleted. Mac and Windows keep everything on your computer. Details are in the privacy policy.
